Polymers are huge molecules that have invaded our daily lives, and not just in the form of plastics.
Where do we find them? How do we synthesize them? What are their chemical properties? Are all polymers plastics? All this will be revealed to you through fascinating and impressive experiments.

Other chemical reactions are also part of the program: fireworks, black powder and oxidation, for example. The Luxembourg Science Center's science shows allow you to delve deep into specific scientific topics.

Topics in these workshops:

  •      Polymer structure
  •      nylon
  •      DNA extraction
  •      Tires, records, Nomex fireproof clothing
  •      Superabsorbents
  •      Oxidation reduction
  •      Extinguishing various fires
